Security guard stabbing results in lawsuit

WILLIAMSON -- A Wayne County man is suing over claims he was injured while working as a security guard in Mingo County.


James Harrison filed a lawsuit Jan. 21 in Mingo Circuit Court against Buck Security and Argus Energy WV LLC, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Harrison was employed as a security guard by Buck Security on Jan. 19, 2012, when an unknown trespasser attacked him and stabbed him in the abdomen. Buck Security and Argus Energy are accused of failing to provide proper lighting, training, equipment and additional guards.

Harrison is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limits.

He is being represented in the case by attorney Donald R. Jarrell.
