Car dealer wants woman to pick up her towed car

Jeepcompass

LOGAN -- A Logan County company is suing over claims a Mingo County woman has failed to pick up or pay for her vehicle after it was towed.

Ferrell Automotive Group Inc. filed a lawsuit June 16 in Logan Circuit Court against Santander Consumer USA Inc. and Mary A. Mahon.

According to the complaint, Mahon caused her Jeep Compass to be towed to the plaintiff's property, and failed to pick up or pay storage costs for the vehicle.

Ferrell Automotive says it attempted to contact Mahon and Santander, who was listed on the vehicle's title due to a financing agreement, but both failed to make arrangements to remove the vehicle or pay accruing costs.

Ferrell Automotive Group is seeking the defendants be made to pay costs of the storage lien or a court order transferring the vehicle title to the plaintiff to pay for costs accrued.

It is being represented in the case by attorney Robert B. Kuenzel of Kuenzel & Associates PLLC in Chapmanville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Roger L. Perry.
