CHARLESTON – Three of West Virginia’s Business Court Division judges recently attended the American College of Business Court Judges Annual Conference in San Francisco.

Division Chairman Christopher C. Wilkes, Judge of the Twenty-Third Judicial Circuit (Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties); Judge Paul T. Farrell of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Cabell County); and Judge James J. Rowe of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit (Greenbrier and Pocahontas counties) attended the conference Sept. 21-23.

The conference focused on public pensions in America, and the last half-day was occupied with an interactive discussion with Fortune 500 corporate counsel.

All six West Virginia Business Court Division judges are members of the American College of Business Court Judges.

“We get together with business court judges from around the nation and compare ideas to better serve the public,” Wilkes said.

The American College of Business Court Judges was established in 2005 with the assistance of the Law & Economics Center at the George Mason University School of Law.
