CHARLESTON – Jackson Kelly is pleased to welcome Lauren Hutchins McCartney to the firm.

McCartney is an associate in the firm’s Pharmaceutical, Toxic Tort and Product Liability Practice Group.

McCartney received her Juris Doctor from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2013 where she was a W.E.B. DuBois Fellow. While in law school, she served as Treasurer of the Women’s Leadership Council and Academic Chair for the West Virginia University Chapter of the Black Law Students Association.

McCartney holds a dual degree in psychology from Marshall University, where she graduated magna cum laude from the University's Honors College, and the University of Debrecen, in Debrecen, Hungary. While at Marshall, she studied at the University of Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid, Spain, and Oxford University in Oxford, England, University of Debrecen, Debrecen, Hungary and the Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw, Poland. She was also a member of Marshall University's Society of Yeager Scholars.
