BECKLEY – A Raleigh County family is suing over claims a newly purchased vehicle didn't work properly and the manufacturer failed to fix it.

David and Marlene Cole filed a lawsuit Oct. 29 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Chrysler Group.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs purchased a new 2014 Jeep Wrangler from a Chrysler authorized retail dealer Nov. 1, 2013, for $61,926, plus tax and license and registration fees. The complaint states the plaintiffs experienced nonconformities with the vehicle warranty, and the manufacturer repeatedly failed to fix them or replace the vehicle. The plaintiffs have been damaged by the loss of use of their vehicle and incurred expenses for replacement transportation, the suit states.

The Coles seeks a refund of the purchase price, damages and attorney fees.

They are represented by attorney Anthony M. Salvatore of Hewitt & Salvatore in Fayetteville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge John A. Hutchison.
