PERSONNEL FILE: Spilman awards scholarships to six WVU students

CHARLESTON – The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle has announced that a firm-sponsored scholarship was awarded to six West Virginia University students for the 2014-15 academic year.

This year’s recipients are Nigel Bowland, Monica Burdette, Kristyn Campbell, Elizabeth Kush, Devin Polen and Kristen Reardon.

The Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC Scholarship was established to support students who wish to attend WVU and who reside in West Virginia counties where the firm has offices, including Kanawha, Monongalia and Ohio.

To be eligible to receive the scholarship, students must have a GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is renewable if recipients maintain a 3.0 GPA while attending WVU full time.
