MADISON – A Boone County woman is suing over claims she was unlawfully terminated from her job.
Lisa Clark filed a lawsuit Dec. 11 in Boone Circuit Court against Boone County Ambulance Authority, Randy Lengyel, Sam Adkins, John Doe, Jane Doe and Doe Corp.
According to the complaint, Clark was employed by the defendant until she was terminated for filing a workman's compensation claim, due to a disability, a perceived disability, her gender or sexual harassment. Clark says she was forced to comply with regulations that were not in place when she was hired and did not apply to male employees, and she was replaced with a male worker after her termination.
The complaint states Clark was unable to complete treatment after her termination due to a lack of insurance. The defendant is accused of intentional infliction of emotional distress and violating the West Virginia Human Rights Act.
Clark seeks damages including back pay, front pay, lost wages and benefits, punitive damages, interest, attorney fees and costs. She is represented by attorney D. Adrian Hoosier II of The Hoosier Law Firm in Logan. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge William S. Thompson.
