BECKLEY – A Raleigh County woman is suing over claims a flu vaccine caused her severe pain.
Sarah Jane Morton filed a lawsuit Dec. 30 in Raleigh Circuit Court against CVS Health.
According to the complaint, Morton received a flu vaccine at the pharmacy on Robert C. Byrd Drive in Beckley on Jan. 11, 2013, and experienced extreme pain in her arm afterward. Morton says she had to go to her physician for pain medication Jan. 23, 2013.
Morton seeks more than $36,000 in damages. She is represented by attorney Eugene D. Pecora of Beckley. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge John A. Hutchison.
