PRINCETON — A Mercer County woman has sued a restaurant chain, alleging negligence in a 2013 accident.
Linda Karnes filed a lawsuit March 4 in Mercer Circuit Court against Outback Steakhouse West Virginia Inc. and Outback Steakhouse of Florida and John Doe I or Jane Doe I and John Doe II and Jane Doe II, alleging personal injuries on the defendant’s premises.
According to the complaint, on March 7, 2013, Karnes slipped and fell on a liquid substance on the restaurant floor while following a hostess to a table at the restaurant at 311 Greasy Ridge Road, Princeton. The general manager failed to provide proper oversight in daily operations of the premises, including upkeep and cleanliness of walkways, corridors and common areas in the establishment, the suit states.
The suit alleges the restaurant was remiss in not protecting the public from fall hazards and cites negligence.
Karnes seeks compensation for: physical pain and suffering; distress, loss of enjoyment of life; medical expenses; loss of wages; attorney fees; expenses and costs.
