* Mary Ann Aten, a former employee of Hutchison, allegedly failed to disclose that she had embezzled money from a Tennessee company before applying for a position with the plaintiffs. The suit claims she stole money from the two companies by writing checks for her own benefit and paying personal expenses with company funds. The plaintiffs are seeking $150,000 in compensatory damages.

*Ross is suing Angelina Smith for negligence and reckless conduct after the two were involved in a car accident on Madison Creek Road. At the time of the accident, Smith was intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .152. Ross is seeking $200,000 in damages.

*Berezo granted the city of Milton an easement and right of way across his property to construct and operate a sewer line. He is now suing after Enyart and Sons "recklessly" cut down his trees. Berezo is suing for the treble damages for the value of the trees.

Melissa Percy and James Percy v. The City of Huntington, a West Virginia Municipal Corporation

*The Ohio couple is suing the city of Huntington after Melissa Percy slipped and fell on a rotten apple in a city parking garage. Percy is suing the city for failure to maintain the premises. She is seeking a judgment in excess of the basic jurisdiction limit.
