* Taylor, a general manager at Max and Erma's from February 2006 to May 2006, claims Denti and Pettibones published false information concerning Taylor's resignation from the restaurant. The suit alleges Denti and Pettibones told third parties that Taylor was fired for stealing from the restaurant. Taylor is suing for defamation of character and false light and is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

* Beckley Mechanical entered into a contract with the defendants as a plumbing subcontractor on the Woodlands Wing 6 Project in Huntington worth $423,000 and as the heating, ventilation and air conditioning subcontractor for the price of $702,000. The total contract price was $1,143,355. The suit claims Beckley Mechanical is still owed $96,506.80. The company is seeking compensatory damages.
