* The plaintiff claims Kearns, a State Police trooper, was operating a police vehicle in an emergency capacity when he and defendant Milburn were negligent and caused an accident at the intersection of U.S. 11 and W.Va. 9 on Dec. 30, 2004. The plaintiff claims his car was struck, and he suffered permanent injuries that have cost him more than $10,500. He is seeking judgment against the three defendants, jointly and severally, in excess of $100,000.

State Farm Fire & Casualty Co. vs. Ecowater Systems LLC
PA - Paul Burns; J - David Sanders
* State Farm, as subrogee of Ronald E. Detrow, et al., claims the defendant provided and installed a defective water softener system in Detrow's home. The complaint says a piece of the system failed on Aug. 6, 2005, causing $33,989.85 in damage, and the plaintiff is seeking that amount and other relief.
