MORGANTOWN - The company that owns Mountaineer Mall is being sued after a patron says she fell and was injured.
Betty L. Hershman filed the suit Feb. 14 in Monongalia Circuit Court against GP-Mountaineer after she tripped over an extension cord she said was placed in the center court walkway at the mall.
Hershman claims she sustained severe injuries, including permanent bodily impairment and scarring. She also incurred medical expenses.
The complaint states Hershman seeks compensatory damages for her injuries.
