CHARLESTON -- Two West Virginia Supreme Court justices will participate in Read Across America Day events honoring the March 2 birthday of the late Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss.
The justices' participation in the events is part of the Court's Robes to Schools program.
Justice Larry Starcher will read to students and deliver the "Reader's Oath" at:
* 8 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, at Montrose Elementary School, 631 Montrose Dr., South Charleston.
* 1 p.m. Friday, March 2, at Shoals Elementary School, 100 Dutch Road, Charleston.
Justice Brent Benjamin will read to students and deliver the "Reader's Oath" at:
* 10 a.m. Friday, March 2, at North Jefferson Elementary School, 6996 Charles Town Road, Kearneysville, Jefferson County.
The "Reader's Oath" is a poem about reading more, and it was written by Debra Angstead of Missouri.
