CLARKSBURG -- Business leader, executive coach and author Scott Eblin will share what it takes to move up to the next level and excel as an organizational leader at the Steptoe & Johnson Labor Institute July 19-20 at Snowshoe Mountain Resort.

In his keynote presentation July 19, Eblin will challenge up-and-coming leaders and seasoned executives to think about what is working, what's not and how to take the action required to lead on the next level.

"Every day, high performers are tapped to be executives and then left alone to figure out how to succeed in their new role," says Eblin, author of The Next Level. "Moving successfully to the executive level requires knowing which beliefs and behaviors to pick up and more importantly, which ones to let go – even if they've driven success up until now."

As president of The Eblin Group, Eblin works with clients nationally and internationally to help them successfully navigate the changing landscape of leadership. He brings the perspective of working with hundreds of top-level leaders in the public and private sectors from organizations such as America Online, Capital One, Northrop Grumman, Pfizer, Sallie Mae and The World Bank.

Steptoe & Johnson's Labor Institute is a focused two-day conference designed to arm human resource professionals and corporate leaders with critical information they need to make their businesses succeed in today's economy.

"This program is absolutely essential to the business community," said Bryan Cokeley, Steptoe & Johnson's Labor and Employment Law Group Leader. "The insights participants gain at this conference will give them vital resources for their company or organization. Quite simply, we will be providing strategies that will empower businesses to excel in tomorrow's workplace."
