State personnel director returning to private sector

CHARLESTON -- Gov. Joe Manchin has announced that Billie Jo Streyle-Anderson, director of the West Virginia Division of Personnel, ws to leave the administration Aug. 3 to return to private sector work focusing on employment law and government liability.

"Billie Jo's experience in personnel policy has been invaluable for helping us to shape our public employee management procedures," Manchin said in a press release. "She brought a high level of professionalism to the Division of Personnel that continues to help us fulfill our 'Responsible Government' initiative. I truly appreciate her service to the state and wish her the best in her return to the private sector."

Streyle-Anderson became personnel director in June 2006. She will return to her previous duties as a litigation associate with the Charleston-based law firm of Bailey & Wyant P.L.L.C. At Bailey & Wyant, she will provide counsel to state, county, municipal and political subdivision clients regarding employment practices and governmental matters.
