* Leoda Harris filed a suit against the theater, claiming the company is to blame for her fall, which occurred in a Park Place Theater. Harris claims she tore her Achilles tendon and suffered a torn lateral meniscus. She seeks compensatory damages.

* William and Carmel Bradbury filed an asbestos lawsuit against 39 companies, including four businesses from West Virginia. William Bradbury claims he now has malignant mesothelioma because he was exposed to asbestos while working at Union Carbide in Charleston, from 1957 to 1991. He and his wife Carmel seek compensatory and punitive damages.
