Vickie Clarke v. Future Enterprise Holdings, LLC dba Mileground Dry Cleaners

* While entering the defendant's establishment, Vickie Clarke was unaware of a raised threshold that must be stepped over to enter the building. As she stepped over the entryway, and onto some wet floor tiles. When she stepped down, and her foot hit the wet tiles, she slid resulting in a serious fall. Her ankle was so severly broken that she has undergone two surgeries trying to reset it, but doctors finally had to place a metal plate and pins in her ankle for stabilization. Clarke claims lost wages, severe pain and suffering, permanent scarring to her ankle, loss of range of movement in her ankle and medical bills. Some of her injuries are permanent. Clarke is seeking judgment of $500,000 plus pre and post judgment interest and medical bill reimbursement.

* Thomas and his grandson were visiting Brown at his home when Thomas was attacked and bitten by Brown's Rottweiller. Claiming Brown was negligent by failing to keep his dog on a leash, Thomas is seeking judgment for all damages sustained, pre and post judgment interest, punitive damages, costs and attorney fees.

Randy Williams v City of Westover

* Williams claims that the City of Westover has been negligent by failing to have adequate storm water drainage in place and that their negligence has caused damage and harm to Williams. Westover hired an engineer to assess, and ultimately, confirm Williams' complaint and instructed the City as to how the problem could be remedied. Westover has failed to rectify its negligence. Williams is seeking compensation for the damage done to his property, home, garage, basement, outside steps and foundation. He also seeks compensation for inconvenience, aggravation, and reimbursement of attorney fees.
