Roger claims that Rodney defrauded his parents during a real estate transaction by making misrepresentations to them, as well as altering a contract in order to get more than his fair share in a property that they purchased in March 2006. The plaintiff is seeking at least $370,000 and other relief.

* Dehaven claims he was injured in a vehicle accident on Dec. 1, 2005, when he was in the jail's custody and he was being taken to Berkeley County Magistrate Court for a scheduled hearing. He was handcuffed and shackled, but the defendant's employees did not put Dehaven's seat belt on, and he claims the driver of the vehicle he was riding in drove through a red light and caused an accident. Dehaven is seeking an amount of relief to be determined at trial.
