Albright, Robes to School program featured in Reading Today article

Albright

CHARLESTON – West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Joseph P. Albright and the Court's Robes to Schools program are featured in an article in the June/July issue of Reading Today, the bimonthly membership newspaper of the International Reading Association.

The article, which features a photo of Albright reading to students at Ellenboro Elementary School in Ritchie County, was written by Dr. Lettie K. Albright, who is the Justice's daughter and an associate professor in the Department of Reading at Texas Woman's University. She is a specialist on Read Aloud programs in middle schools.

The article is accompanied by a list of Read Aloud discussion questions designed by Dr. Albright. She gave the West Virginia Supreme Court permission to incorporate that list into the Robes to Schools program when the program was launched in early 2006, and the list is on the Court's Web site at http://www.state.wv.us/wvsca/kidspage/ReadAloudGuidelines.htm
