H.W.V. Inc., dba Funny Bone Comedy Club & Restaurant v. Rebecca Delauder

* Delauder was an employee of the Funny Bone from May 2005 until September 2007. In January 2007, she reached the position of general manager. The suit claims then embezzled $33,613 to use for her personal benefit. The club is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Dorcas Griggs v. Tri-State Chrysler Jeep and Lynn Hudnall

* Griggs was hired as a sales associate at the car dealership and Hudnall was her general manager. Griggs claims Hudnall made several inappropriate sexual comments toward her and frequently referenced her physical attributes, to which Griggs answered with dirty looks. According to the suit, Hudnall's wife began working at the dealership and viewed Griggs as a threat. Griggs claims the service manager and Hudnall's wife soon fired her. She alleges Hudnall violated the West Virginia Human Rights Act and is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Randy E. Layne v. Earthgrains Baking Companies, Inc., Sara Lee Corporation, Sara Lee/DE International B.V.

*Randy Layne was an employee of Earthgrains, a Huntington bakery. In January 2006, he was working on the company's breadline near the overhead proofer when his right index finger was cut off by the machine's exposed gears, according to the suit. Layne alleges that Earthgrains should have installed protective guards on the gear box. He is seeking compensatory damages for the loss of his right index finger.
