CHARLESTON - A Kanawha County man has filed a suit against a woman who hit him with her car while he was riding his bicycle.

Jerry Lee Allen filed the suit June 4 in Kanawha Circuit Court against Tina Taylor Suchy.

Both Allen and Suchy are St. Albans residents. According to the suit, Allen was riding his bike on the path next to Coal River Road in St. Albans on April 7, 2007. At the same time, Suchy was driving on Fairview Drive in St. Albans.

According to the suit, Suchy approached the intersection of Fairview Drive and Coal River, failed to stop at the stop sign and attempted to turn onto Coal River. Allen claims she failed to yield and collided with him while he was on his bike.

Allen claims he suffered severe and permanent injuries, pain and suffering, medical expenses, physical limitations, annoyance and inconvenience, lost wages and other consequences and damages.

Allen seeks compensatory and punitive damages.

Attorney Danny Cline is representing Allen. The case has been assigned to Judge Charles King.
