Latasha Henry, Donna Calandrella, Crystal Smith and Christina Hatcher McGervey v. Craig Edmond, Janet Edmond and Dreamland Development, LLC dba Pleasant Day Schools

* As employees of Dreamland Development LLC, Henry, Calandrella, Smith and McGervey claim they were victims of inappropriate touching, comments, sexual advances and actions on a daily basis by owner Craig Edmond. Edmonds' actions were reported to Janet Edmond, daycare director, but she failed to take any action against Edmonds. When Edmonds' advances were thwarted, he began threatening them, creating an abusive work environment. Plaintiff's claim they were all victims of unlawful sexual discrimination. Calandrella and Henry made a report to police officials and a criminal investigation began. Shortly after, they were discharged from their employment. Plaintiff's are seeking to recover compensatory and punitive damages, attorney fees, costs and expenses, all amounts of unpaid fringe benefits, including vacation pay, three times the unpaid amount in liquidated damages, pre- and post-judgment interest and enjoining the Edmond from owning or operating any child care facility in the future.
