CHARLESTON - A Kanawha County woman filed a suit against a national fast food restaurant after she was injured when she slipped on a wet floor in the restaurant.

Jeannie Allen filed a suit June 26 in Kanawha Circuit Court against Taco Bell after she was injured in a store on MacCorkle Avenue in Charleston.

According to the suit, Allen entered Taco Bell on Aug. 7, 2007, when she slipped and fell on the wet floor in front of the counter. Allen claims she suffered a right humeral head fracture, right patellar fracture, bruising and contusions.

Allen claims she suffered medical bills, pain and suffering, aggravation, annoyance, inconvenience and loss of enjoyment of life.

Larry Allen, Jeannie's husband, claims he suffered loss of consortium, guidance, kindly office, support and services of his wife.

Together, the Allens seek compensatory and punitive damages.

Attorney James M. Barber is representing the Allens. The case has been assigned to Judge Irene Berger.
