HUNTINGTON -– Jenkins Fenstermaker, a Huntington-based law firm, has announced that five of its attorneys recently were selected by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2008.

The five Jenkins Fenstermaker attorneys recognized in the publication are Stephen J. Golder for real estate law; Robert "Bo" Sweeney for mass tort litigation; Barry M. Taylor for medical malpractice law; Lee Murray Hall for insurance law; and Thomas E. Scarr for commercial litigation and for labor and employment law.

Since its inception in 1983, Best Lawyers has become regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Because Best Lawyers is based on a peer-review survey in which more than 25,000 leading attorneys cast almost two million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their specialties, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers "the most respected referral list of attorneys in practices."

Jenkins Fenstermaker represents clients in areas such as litigation, labor-management relations, worker's compensation, business law, wills, estates and trusts, insurance defense and coverage analysis, real estate, mediation and others.

Jenkins Fenstermaker is a multi-practice, full-service firm based in Huntington. For more than 80 years, Jenkins Fenstermaker has been prominent in the West Virginia legal community. Today, Jenkins Fenstermaker serves clients in West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio and the region.
