* Ruby Chappell filed a suit against the Town of Dunbar and the West Dunbar Public Service District, after her home was damaged by a backflow of raw sewage. Chappell claims she suffered expenses in cleaning the sewage from her home, damage to her home and personal property, annoyance, inconvenience, mental anguish and emotional distress. * Edward G. O'Neill filed a suit on behalf of the estate of Deborah Ann O'Neill. According to the suit, Deborah O'Neill died after taking prescription pills prescribed by Iraj Derakhshan, a doctor licensed to practice psychiatry and neurology in Kanawha County. Deborah O'Neill was a patient of Derakhshan's from April 2007 until her death on Oct. 17, 2007. Edward O'Neill claims the family, distributes and beneficiaries of Deborah O'Neill have suffered great mental pain and anguish, loss of services, society, guidance and companionship of the deceased. He seeks compensatory and punitive damages.
