PERSONNEL FILE: Jackson Kelly welcomes new director of business development and marketing

CHARLESTON -- Jackson Kelly recently welcomed Mary Hendrix to the position of Director of Marketing and Business Development.

She will be based in the Charleston office and will have firm-wide responsibility for overseeing the firm's brand, client relations and business development.

Hendrix brings extensive experience in the legal industry to Jackson Kelly. Over the past two decades, she has overseen the development and implementation of efforts to enhance client relations and develop new business and strategies for growth. Most recently, she was the Director of Marketing and Business Development at Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC based in Louisville, Ky.

Prior to her work with Greenebaum, Hendrix worked at a national 550-lawyer firm and a regional, 160-attorney firm, both based in Pittsburgh, Pa.

In her role at Jackson Kelly, Hendrix will work with the firm's attorneys to assess client satisfaction and to implement best practices as recommended by its clients. Additionally, she will work with lawyers on effective business development and opportunities for community involvement.

She will also oversee the firm's competitive intelligence program which will ensure that the firm's attorneys have current industry knowledge that will enable them to provide clients with timely business and legal advice that is imperative to success in the current market. Hendrix will also oversee a team of marketing and business development professionals that currently supports the firm through proposal development, advertising, web development, event marketing, creative material and community and media relations.

Hendrix received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh. While there, she received academic honors, was in the top 2 percent of students in the College of General Studies and was elected Senior of the Year by the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Hendrix is also actively involved in the legal marketing industry having served as a Board Member and President of the Pennsylvania, Ohio and Kentucky chapters of the Legal Marketing Association.

Jackson Kelly represents global corporations, national companies, entrepreneurs and individuals in areas of law such as environmental, business, labor and employment, federal and state workers' compensation, civil litigation and occupational safety and health.

The firm has offices across West Virginia and in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Colorado and the District of Columbia.
