MARTINSBURG – Five New Jersey residents are suing an Inwood man, whom they say rear-ended them along Interstate 81.
James and Donna McClinton Toe, Alonzo and Dorothy Williams Agee, all of Trenton, and Edith Conover, of Hamilton filed lawsuits March 9 in Berkeley Circuit Court against Kevin Newman.
The plaintiffs say that about 3:45 p.m. March 25, 2007, they were all in the same car slowing to a stop on Exit 12 off I-81 north when Newman rear-ended the car, causing all of them serious and permanent injuries.
The plaintiffs blame Newman for being negligent.
The combined medical bills for the plaintiffs are at least $238,000, according to the complaints.
In addition to general damages, the Toes and the Agees are seeking damages related to loss of consortium.
