* On Aug. 8, 2008, Flowers entered into a contract with 1st Class Homebuilders to build a residence for him. According to the suit, the company did not complete the house as set in the agreement and allegedly fraudulently and intentionally misrepresented work completion deadlines, progress reports, costs needed to continue the project and quality construction materials, among other things. Flowers is suing for compensatory damages in the amount of $244,317.53 and punitive damages.

*Scott was employed by Sears from September 2006 until June 15, 2008, and was promoted to assistant store manager in training in February 2007. He claims he was informed he would go through a three-month training program, but according to the suit, he remained there for over a year while other employees were promoted. In October 2006, Scott sought medical attention for deep vein thrombosis and was off work in June and July 2007. On Aug. 18, 2007, he received a memo stating he could return to the training program, accept another position with less pay or resign. He is suing for damages for mental and emotional distress, lost wages, the value of lost benefits and punitive damages.
