HUNTINGTON —- Two separate companies are suing Mountaineer Timber Frames, and two other men for failure to pay for services and materials.
Steele Construction Inc. and Wagan LLC are both suing Mountaineer Timber Frames, Chris Porter and Dennis R. Johnson II for breach of contract, according to two complaints filed Oct. 15 in Cabell Circuit Court.
According to the suit, Steele Construction delivered and furnished materials and work to Mountaineer Timber Fames, Porter and Johnson between Aug. 7 and Sept. 2, 2009, for use in the erection and construction of a building owned by Johnson. Steele Construction claims they refused to pay the $30,876.13 owed to them.
Wagan also delivered and furnished materials for use on the erection and construction of Johnson's building in July 2009. They claim the defendants owe them $31,343.75 and have also refused to pay them.
Both companies are suing for compensatory damages and the amounts owed to them. They are being represented by Shawn R. Romano of Romano & Associates.
Steele Construction's case has been assigned to Circuit Judge F. Jane Hustead, and Wagan's case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David M. Pancake.
