Woman sues Outback Steakhouse for injury

CHARLESTON -- A woman is suing Outback Steakhouse after she claims she was injured.

Giavonna Moore claims Outback Steakhouse had a duty to properly repair the damage done to the floor in its Charleston restaurant, according to a complaint filed Nov. 2 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Outback Steakhouse breached its duty of due care by failing to properly repair the floor prior to Moore's injury on Nov. 4, 2007.

Moore claims she injured her foot, back and leg and experienced emotional distress.

She is suing for $150,000 for pain and suffering for her injuries. Belinda S. Morton is representing her.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Paul Zakaib Jr.
