Business for Breakfast set for April 23

CHARLESTON -- Huddleston Bolen, The State Journal, SCORE and the SBA have announced the April Business for Breakfast is set for Friday, April 23.

The hourlong event will start at 7:45 a.m. at Huddleston Bolen's Charleston offices located on the 13th floor of the Chase Tower.

Michael Smith, a human resource professional with more than 20 years experience in the private and public sector, will help businesses gain a better understanding of the complex issues that arise when selecting a benefit plan and offer ideas on how to make the choice best for their business.

"There are so many types and hybrids of employee benefits available to business owners currently that it makes simply selecting a plan difficult," Smith said. "I hope to help them understand the employee benefit puzzle by the conclusion on the seminar."

Kevin Nelson, managing partner of the firm's Charleston office, said the seminar will allow business owners to gain a better understanding of the importance of selecting benefit plans tailored towards their employee's needs.

"The market for benefits is changing rapidly and business owners are often left perplexed by the differences between their options," Nelson said. "This seminar is intended help to alleviate some of the confusion and help business leaders make well informed decisions."
