McHugh to speak at Brooke veterans' dinner

WELLSBURG -- Supreme Court Justice Thomas McHugh will be the keynote speaker at the Brooke Veteran's Memorial Banquet at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 24.

The dinner will be held at the Banquet Hall in Wellsburg.

McHugh was a First Lieutenant in the Army from 1958 to 1961. He served in the Fourth Infantry Division, stationed in Fort Lewis, Wash. Both of his twin sons serve in the West Virginia Army National Guard.

John McHugh is a Lieutenant Colonel who was a medevac helicopter pilot in Desert Storm. He is currently commander of the 771st Troop Command Battalion.

James McHugh, on leave from his job as Jackson County prosecutor, is a Lieutenant Colonel and is currently serving with the military police in Iraq. He is commander of the 151st MP Battalion, whose mission is to advise and assist the Iraqi military and police.
