PERSONNEL FILE: Kay Casto branch to focus on entertainment Law

CHARLESTON -- Kay Casto & Chaney has announced that it has opened a branch office located at Corridor G in the professional building that houses The Pied Piper of Charleston.

The office serves as the home of the firm's Entertainment Law Group, headed by attorney L. Kevin Levine. In addition to office and conference room space for the Entertainment Law Group, the facility also features a 45-seat auditorium for seminars and workshops.

"This is an exciting opportunity. West Virginia has an abundance of talented individuals. Not just the names you know, like Brad Paisley, Jennifer Garner, and Kathy Mattea, but a multitude of others at all stages of their careers," said Michael T. Chaney, a member of the firm's management committee.

"Kevin's been practicing entertainment law since 2002. In support of our clients and his efforts, we've taken the next step of providing dedicated office space in a location familiar to those in the entertainment industry," Chaney said.

Current entertainment clients include songwriters, musical artists, independent record labels and music publishers, music producers, independent film producers and directors, and literary authors.

"It's no coincidence that Kevin's also a musician. He's performed and recorded with bands in Charleston and Huntington. That gives us an edge. He's passionate about the industry and serving our clients," added Chaney.

In addition to West Virginia, Levine is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and he travels to Nashville frequently. In the coming months, the firm plans to establish a satellite office in Nashville for its Entertainment Law Group.

Kay Casto & Chaney is a business and litigation firm with 28 attorneys. It is based in Charleston, with an office in Morgantown.
