Woman sues Kentucky man for failing to repay $20,000

HUNTINGTON -- A Huntington woman is suing a man from Ashland, Ky., after she claims he failed to repay her money she loaned to him.

On Oct. 14, 2007, Rosie M. Smith loaned Lewis Shepherd $20,000, according to a complaint filed April 27 in Cabell Circuit Court.

Smith claims Shepherd claim her to home and asked for the loan and agreed to repay the loan and also pay an additional $5,000 in interest.

Shepherd has failed to repay the loan, according to the suit.

Smith is seeking damages in the amount of $25,000 plus interest. She is being represented by R.R. Fredeking II.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge F. Jane Hustead.
