HUNTINGTON -- A Huntington man is suing Oakwood Mobile Homes after he discovered the foundation of his mobile home did not meet FHA/HUD requirements.
On Nov. 15, 2008, George Willoughby entered into a contract with American Home Inspectors & Engineering Assessments to have the foundation of his mobile home inspected for compliance with the prescriptive requirements of FHA/HUD, according to a complaint filed May 20 in Cabell Circuit Court.
Willoughby claims upon inspection he discovered the foundation system was not in compliance with FHA/HUD.
As a result of the defendant's negligence, Willoughby sustained damages in monetary cost to set the foundation properly and repair the damages to the mobile home resulting from the improperly constructed foundation, according to the suit.
Willoughby is seeking damages to be determined at trial with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by R. Stephen Jarrell.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge F. Jane Hustead.
