HUNTINGTON -- Four partners at Farrell, Farrell & Farrell have been selected as West Virginia Super Lawyers.

Michael J. Farrell, Paul T. Farrell, Joseph M. Farrell Jr. and Tamela J. White were named West Virginia Super Lawyers, making them apart of the less than 5 percent of West Virginia attorneys that receive Super Lawyer honors each year.

Their listings can be found at www.superlawyers.com.

To be named a West Virginia Super Lawyer, a candidate must pass a stringent screening process that includes peer nominations, a blue ribbon panel review, and independent research on candidates.

Michael J. Farrell is included under the practice area of Business Litigation, Paul T. Farrell is included under the Health Care practice area, Joseph M. Farrell, Jr and Tamela J. White are included in the Medical Malpractice Personal Injury Defense practice area.

Mike is the founding and managing member of the firm. He is a distinguished trial lawyer, author, lecturer, bar and educational leader. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been recognized by Chambers USA as an outstanding litigator. His current practice concentrates on complex litigation involving products liability, mass torts, commercial and employment litigation.

Paul T. Farrell is a litigator specializing in defense of healthcare providers, public employers and criminal defendants. Since 1995, Paul has primarily restricted his practice to medical and hospital defense cases throughout West Virginia and Kentucky, providing daily advisory opinions on matters involving healthcare law, peer review, credentialing issues, and employment matters.

Joseph M. Farrell Jr., a former plaintiff attorney, proved a tremendous strength for defending the firm's clients in many pro-plaintiff venues in West Virginia. The majority of the cases tried have been medical malpractice or employment-related claims. Joe's vast experience as counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants makes him the ideal mediator.

Tammy is a senior litigator in the firm's medical malpractice and product liability litigation sections and she was the first female trial lawyer from West Virginia to be elected to the International Association of Defense Counsel. With a nursing degree from The Ohio State University, she had ten years of experience as a critical care and oncology nurse and hospital administrator before her distinguished legal career.
