CHARLESTON -- A former employee is suing Cozumel Mexican Restaurant Dos after he claims it violated the West Virginia Wage Payment & Collection Act.
Michael A. Gunnoe worked for Cozumel Mexican Restaurant Dos until his discharge on June 28, 2009, according to a complaint filed July 7 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Gunnoe claims the defendant failed to pay him his wages within 72 hours of his discharge, which is in violation of the West Virgina Wage Payment & Collection Act.
Gunnoe is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by Todd S. Bailess.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Paul Zakaib Jr.
