PERSONNEL FILE: 'Best Lawyers' guide lists 71 Nelson Mullins attorneys

HUNTINGTON - Seventy-one Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough attorneys in 11 cities and more than 35 key practice areas have been selected for inclusion in the 2011 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

Two of those selected were:

  • Marc E. Williams, appellate law, 'Bet-the-Company' litigation, commercial litigation, legal malpractice law, mass tort litigation, personal injury litigation, product liability litigation, railroad law.

    The legal reference guide also ranked Nelson Mullins as a top-listed firm in:

    -South Carolina in 13 practice areas (administrative, appellate, commercial litigation, corporate governance and compliance law, franchise, government relations, insurance, mergers and acquisitions, personal injury litigation, product liability, securities, venture capital, and water law);

    -North Carolina for technology law;

    -Charleston, S.C., in 7 practice areas (appellate, bet-the-company litigation, environmental law, government relations, product liability, tax, and water law);

    -Charlotte in technology law;

    -Columbia in nine areas (administrative, bet-the-company, commercial litigation, employee benefits law, franchise law, government relations, mass tort litigation personal injury, and product liability);

    -Greenville, S.C., in six areas (corporate governance and compliance law, family, insurance, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and venture capital);

    -Huntington in six areas (appellate, bet-the-company litigation, commercial litigation, legal malpractice, personal injury, and product liability litigation);

    -Myrtle Beach in trust and estates;
