Woman sues Wal-mart for injures

WAYNE -- A woman is suing Wal-mart after she claims she sustained injuries at its Wayne location.

On Jan. 30, 2009, Gail Staley was at the Wayne Wal-mart when she caught her pant leg on a pallet in the floor and fell, according to a complaint filed Jan. 11 in Wayne Circuit Court.

Staley claims the defendant negligently placed the pallet on the floor and failed to warn people of the hazard it posed.

As a result of the defendant's negligence, Staley sustained injuries, including injuries to her left hip and left elbow, according to the suit.

Staley is seeking compensatory damages. She is being represented by Larry O. Ford and Letisha R. Bika.
