CHARLESTON -- A Logan County woman is suing Res-Care after she claims her employment was wrongfully terminated because of her age.

Lena Street and Lisa Jones, two supervisors at Res-Care, were also named as defendants in the suit.

On June 24, 2010, Lucinda Howell's employment as an administrative assistant was terminated, according to a complaint filed Feb. 22 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Howell claims her employment was terminated because of her age and because she had complained about unfair and harassing treatment by her supervisors, Street and Jones.

The defendants' actions are in violation of the West Virginia Human Rights Act, according to the suit.

Howell claims after her employment was terminated, a much younger person was hired to replace her.

Howell is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. She is being represented by Paul M. Stroebel.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis H. Bloom.
