Surveying firm sues for $40K payment

HUNTINGTON -- True Line Surveying is suing Mountain Country Partners, LLC, after it claims it failed to pay more than $40,000 for services performed.

Douglas McKee, an employee of Mountain Country Partners, LLC, was also named as a defendant in the suit.

The defendants enaged True Line Surveying to perform surveys on several parcels of real estate and agreed to pay for the services, according to a complaint filed June 6 in Cabell Circuit Court.

True Line Surveying claims it performed the surveys, but was not paid for the work performed.

The defendants failed to pay for the services and owe True Line Surveying $42,486.98, according to the suit.

True Line Surveying is seeking judgment in the amount of $42,486.98 plus interest and punitive damages. It is being represented by C. Joseph Stevens.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge F. Jane Hustead.
