CHARLESTON -- A man is suing Direct Service Remanufacturing after he was injured on the job.
Raleigh Mine and Industrial Supply, Inc. and West Virginia Steel Corporation were also named as the defendant in the suit.
On Oct. 28, 2010, Gregory A. Roush was working for the defendants when he was injured while attempting to move extremely heavy discs, according to a complaint filed June 3 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Roush claims the defendants failed to provide him with the proper equipment, which caused injury when he attempted to move the discs and they fell on his hand.
The defendants failed to provide Roush with a safe place to work and were negligent, according to the suit.
Roush claims the defendants caused him severe, permanent and disabling injuries.
Roush is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by Mark A. Atkinson.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Tod J. Kaufman.
