State Law Library hosts veterans benefits workshop

CHARLESTON -– A free workshop on veterans legal benefits will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17 in the State Law Library.

CHARLESTON -– A free workshop on veterans legal benefits will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17 in the State Law Library.

Mike Lyons, operations manager of the West Virginia Department of Veterans Assistance, will discuss state and federal benefits and describe how the appeal process works.

Veterans in the state have free representation from his agency during the claims and appeal process.

The State Law Library is located on the fourth floor of the East Wing of the state Capitol, Room E-404. Metered parking is available on California Avenue and is free after 5 p.m.

The session is open to the public and no registration is required.
