Man accuses Lavalette Foodfair, woman of false accusations

WAYNE -- A Wayne County man is suing the Lavalette Foodfair and an unnamed woman he claims made false accusations about him.

On May 27, the unnamed woman, Jane Doe, contacted the police and made a false police report against Charles Lamont Miller, according to a complaint filed Sept. 2 in Wayne Circuit Court.

Miller claims Doe falsely accused him of making a threat to blow up the Lavalette Foodfair.

As a result of Doe's illegal and false police report, Miller was falsely charged with a felony criminal offense, according to the suit.

Miller claims the defendants' actions caused him emotional stress.

Miller is seeking damages in the amount of $1 million. He is representing himself.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Darrell M. Pratt.
