* Bonham began working for McGraw's office on Nov. 1, 2010. She claims she was assigned to represent the Division of Motor Vehicles in cases before the Office of Administrative Appeals in Mercer, Greenbrier and Raleigh Counties. On Nov. 4, 2010, she was reassigned to counties in the Eastern Panhandle, according to the suit. Bonham claims the distance of the assignment rendered her representation impossible because the nearest assignment was nearly five hours away. On Nov. 15, 2010, Barbara Allen acknowledged the impossibility of the assignment and discharged Bonham from her employment. Bonham is seeking judgment in the amount of $35,000.

* The Chapmanville man claims on April 23 he was driving a 2006 Pontiac G6, which was owned by his father, when he lost control and sustained a severe frontal impact with a metal drain pipe and other objects which exceeded the airbag system's predetermined deployment threshold. Adkins claims the front driver side airbag malfunctioned because it failed to deploy. Adkins is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.

* Caldwell was employed by the defendant to work as a roulette dealer. On March 18, 2010, she was suspended without pay on the same day two other male employees were also suspended without pay. After the defendant determined Caldwell and the two male employees did not intentionally leave non-value chips unsecured, the male employees were permitted to return to work. Caldwell claims she was given a written warning for carelessness and "violation of company policies and procedures." She was also not allowed to return to her former position for six months. Caldwell claims she was discriminated against. Caldwell is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

On Feb. 27, Brown was sitting in a rail tub with another African American employee when an employee discriminated against them because of their race. He claims after complaining to the president of the defendant, he was supposed to be moved to another mine, but the defendant failed to do so. He claims his employment was terminated because he complained about discrimination. He is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
