Chafin names Majestro as campaign manager

CHARLESTON -- State Supreme Court candidate Tish Chafin has named Cynthia Majestro as campaign manager.

"I am extremely pleased to bring Cindy Majestro on board as my campaign manager," Chafin said. "Her comprehensive legal and business background, as well as her exceptional organizational skills, make her a perfect fit for this position."

A native of Vienna in Wood County, Majestro brings more than 25 years of legal and business experience to the campaign. She served as partner at MacCorkle, Lavendar and Sweeney and has served as legal counsel with the West Virginia Division of Highways, Mountain State Justice Inc. and United National Bank.

She also has a background in research from working at the American Bankers Association and State and Federal Associates, located in Washington, D.C.

"I am proud to join the campaign," Majestro said. "Tish is a dedicated, hard-working attorney and community leader.

"I am confident she will bring those qualities to the Supreme Court."

Majestro graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from West Virginia University and went on to receive her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from West Virginia University College of Law.

"I am confident we have formed a team of highly talented and experienced campaign professionals unmatched anywhere in West Virginia," Chafin said.

Majestro joins Kanawha County Commission President Kent Carper, who chairs the campaign committee; former state Delegate Oshel Craigo, who chairs the fundraising committee; Charleston attorney Anthony Majestro, who serves as the campaign attorney; and Charleston accountant Chuck Smith, who serves as campaign treasurer.
