MORGANTOWN -- Morgantown attorney Jane E. Peak recently was named a 2012 West Virginia Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers magazine.
Super Lawyers recognizes outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Peak also has been named as the "Morgantown Best Lawyers Employment Law – Individuals Lawyer of the Year" for 2012.
Best Lawyers chooses only one lawyer in each specialty in each community for this honor.
In addition to her work as a plaintiff's attorney, Peak has served as President of the West Virginia Employment Lawyers Association from 2000-2003. In 2005, Peak was recognized as Practitioner of the Year by the Women's Law Caucus of WVU College Law.
She is currently an officer for West Virginia Association for Justice and the Chair of the Employment Law Committee of the West Virginia State Bar.
Peak has lectured to other attorneys on employment law issues and has also taught Appellate Advocacy to law students at West Virginia University College of Law.
Peak practices employment and medical negligence law in the law firm of Allan N. Karlin & Associates.
