Man says Harley-Davidson motorcycle was defective

HUNTINGTON -- A man is suing Harley-Davidson Motor Company after he claims the motorcycle he purchased was defective.

On May 11, 2010, Dustin R. Jones purchased a 2010 Harley Davidson FXDF from the defendant in the amount of $17,435.27, according to a complaint filed March 12 in Cabell Circuit Court.

Jones claims shortly after buying the motorcycle, he began to experience various defects and conditions within the motorcycle which do not conform to the defendant's warranties.

After providing the defendant with a reasonable number of attempts and a reasonable period of time to cure the defects in the motorcycle, the defendant has been unable and/or has failed to conform the motorcycle to the terms of its warranties, according to the suit.

Jones is seeking compensatory damages. He is being represented by David B. Levin.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David M. Pancake.
