PITTSBURGH -- All of the attorneys from the Indiana, Pa., law firm of Gormly Gormly & Yuhas have joined Jackson Kelly effective May 1.

The four Gormly attorneys and staff will relocate to the firm's Pittsburgh office upon renovations to new office space in Gateway Center.

"The addition of these attorneys allows the firm to continue expansion and service to clients in Pennsylvania as well as the region," Brian Swiger, Jackson Kelly's Assistant Managing Member, said. "Our clients rely on us for our industry knowledge, and this addition will undoubtedly open up increased avenues for our respective clients."

The attorneys of Gormly Gormly & Yuhas have traditionally focused on representing oil and gas companies in Pennsylvania. Their clients are involved in the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays and rely upon their extensive experience in oil and gas law.

"As the energy business is progressively growing in our markets, we wanted to join an industry-focused firm like Jackson Kelly, so that our clients would have access to a broader range of services and professionals, when and where needed," Kevin Gormly said. "By joining Jackson Kelly, our clients now have the resources of attorneys who have worked in the area for more than two decades and who understand the business and legal implications of their advice."

In addition to the Gormly firm, Jackson Kelly is also in the process of opening a new office in Canton, Ohio, to provide additional service to the firm's growing energy practice. Jackson Kelly has previously been recognized as having the second largest energy practice in the country for firms with 100 or more lawyers. Coupled with the firm's addition of more than 40 attorneys in 2011 and over a dozen in 2012, Swiger said that there are plans to add another ten to twelve attorneys in the Canton and Pittsburgh markets this quarter.

Swiger also added that the firm's expansion is in response to continued client needs. The firm currently has offices throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Colorado and the District of Columbia.

Kevin M. Gormly, managing member of the Gormly firm, focuses his practice on oil, gas and mineral law, including litigation, transactional, environmental, regulatory, state and local permitting and right-of-way matters. Gormly has handled significant and complex federal and state court litigation, as well as litigation before the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board on behalf of oil and gas operators. He frequently lectures and writes on various legal topics in the oil, gas and mineral industry.

Melissa McCoy Gormly's practice focuses on oil, gas and mineral law, employment counseling and litigation and general litigation matters. She has extensive experience litigating cases in state and federal courts, as well as handling appeals before Pennsylvania's appellate courts. She also has considerable experience drafting oil and gas title opinions.

Stephanie M. Yuhas' primary practice area is oil and gas law with an emphasis on oil and gas title opinions for oil and gas operators. She frequently writes and lectures on oil and gas legal topics - including issues specific to the Marcellus Shale.

Lindsey R. Mitchell practices oil and gas law, with a focus on providing oil and gas opinions to oil and gas operators. Prior to joining the Gormly firm, Mitchell served as a law clerk for the Honorable Carol Hanna in the Indiana County Court of Common Pleas.
